Terms of sale and refunds

The short version: you pay $2.99 USD once (plus any sales tax), the tool converts your export inside your browser, and if it doesn’t work for you, email us within 30 days for a full refund. No questions asked.

What you buy

A one-time payment of $2.99 USD unlocks the Move My Chat tool in the browser you paid from, for as long as we offer the tool. There is no subscription and nothing renews. The tool reads the data export you download from ChatGPT or Claude and builds a migration pack of files on your own device. It is for your personal use with exports of your own data.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, which sells the unlock on our behalf as the merchant of record through its Link service. Stripe adds any sales tax, GST or HST that applies where you live and shows the total before you pay. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* MOVEMYCHAT.COM.

Refunds

If you are not happy for any reason, email support@movemychat.com within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund the full amount, including tax. Include the email address you used at checkout. You can also ask Link support for a refund. Refunds go back to your original payment method. This does not limit any refund or cancellation rights you have under the law where you live.

What the tool does and does not do

Move My Chat never logs in to your accounts and never receives your chat history. It works only with the export files that ChatGPT and Claude provide, and only with what those exports contain: for example, images and uploaded files are not part of them. Importing the pack into another assistant happens under that assistant’s own terms and limits, which its maker can change at any time. We describe those features accurately as of the date shown on our pages, but we cannot guarantee how another company’s product behaves.

Your content

Your conversations stay yours. They are processed on your device and are never sent to us. Use the tool only with exports you are entitled to use.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make the tool reliable, but it is provided as is, to the extent the law allows. Keep your original export file. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the tool is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.

Trademarks

Move My Chat is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or xAI. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok are trademarks of their respective owners.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, except where the consumer protection law of your state, province or territory gives you the right to rely on local law or local courts. If we change these terms, the new version applies to purchases made after the date below.
